Here’s some important information about we’ll be re-gathering for live worship services at our building

Wednesday, June 17, 7 PM – Rehearsal with staff and volunteers – streamed live (This would allow us to work out the technical bugs for a live streaming service).  We encourage church members to get together with other church families for “watch parties” so that we can get used to gathering again.  To check out this “dress rehearsal,” go to https://www.facebook.com/chilsonhillschurch.

Sunday, June 21, 10 AM – Registration-only service – to be streamed.  This service will be streamed live on Facebook Live or YouTube.  For those who would like to attend the live event.  Please fill out this registration form.  You can view it live at our facebook page or you can check it out later on our YouTube channel.

Sunday, June 28, 10 AM – 1st official public Sunday Worship service.

Wednesday, July 1, 7 PM – Monthly “Fireside” Wednesday Service (Campfire provided – bring your own marshmallows and S’mores!)  – Next service: August 5

What you need to know about attending an outdoor service at Chilson Hills Church
For a complete announcement, you might want to check out our Facebook page.  We have an outdoor amphitheater (our Memorial Garden) where we can comfortably seat (with social distancing) 30-40 in comfortable benches.  For a good look at what our garden looks like, check out this video.  However, we have a lawn area and benches on a patio as well as space for people to sit in their cars and watch the service.  We believe we can seat 100 people with social distancing.  If you decide to join us (no pressure), you might want to bring the following items:
  • Blankets
  • Camp chairs
  • Snacks
  • Drinks
  • Toys that don’t make a lot of noise
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellant
  • Towels (for wiping the seats that might be wet with dew)
What safety precautions will we have?
We will be using a CDC approved solution that when sprayed on soft and hard surfaces, will kill germs and viruses in 10 minutes.  We strongly recommend that you wear a mask, and we will be checking your temperature, so if you’re not feeling good, please don’t come!  We will not be serving food or coffee. What do I need to know about indoor services?
If it rains, we will go inside to our worship center which is a multi-purpose room with a 3/4 court basketball court.  It is well-suited for spreading out.  So, if we are indoors, you can bring your camp chairs, food and drink inside with you!  While we will be singing congregational songs outside, we will not  be singing inside, and we will not be serving communion throughout the summer.

What about kids?
We will not be having children’s programming, but your kids are invited and welcome here!  We’d like to think that our services are pretty kid-friendly.  We love having kids participate in our services.
