Children

I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

— 3 John 1:4

The children’s ministry at Chilson Hills Church has been set up to provide a consistent, nurturing environment for the youngest members of our congregation to grow in knowledge and faith.

We want this to be a place where children can explore God’s world, ask questions, express their faith, and feel loved. It is our hope that they will develop lasting friendships with adults and children that will help them establish a relationship with Jesus that will last a lifetime.

More Information

For more information about the children’s ministry at Chilson Hills Church, please contact Melissa Scherdt at mscherdt@gmail.com.

As we welcome your children to the ministries of our church, we will offer opportunities for learning and fellowship.

Through Sunday School, Youth Arts Ministry, Mission and service projects, and worship experiences, your children will see God’s love in action. Our children also enjoy many family-oriented special events throughout the year, which connect them with our community of faith. If your child is of reading ability and would like to participate in reading scripture during the worship service please contact our Director of Worship, Amber Wist.

Our children’s ministry wants to support families and partner with parents along the journey. Please let us know of ways that we can minister with you.

Prior to the 10:00 worship service, please sign in your children at the children’s check-in table in the lobby.

During the 10:00 worship service, children attend the first part of the worship service with their parents and then are invited to the front for a children’s sermon from a Deacon or Preacher. At the conclusion of the children’s sermon, children are dismissed to attend their Sunday School classes. Parents can pick up their children in the administrative wing after signing them out.

The Children’s Ministry is led by the Children’s Ministry Team, which also coordinates several special events throughout the year.
