We are delighted to announce that it was a unanimous “yes” to approve Angela Miller as the new Senior Pastor at Chilson Hills Church. Dear Executive Ministries Team,
After 14 months of reading profiles, interviewing candidates, and discerning God’s plan, the
Pastoral Search Team is excited to present Angela Miller as our recommended candidate for the
position of Senior Pastor of Chilson Hills Church. Of the 12 candidates we interviewed, only one
rose to the level of giftedness, humility, and enthusiasm that Angela has demonstrated
increasingly over the past year. After prayer and careful deliberation, we believe Angela to be
the best candidate to lead our congregation into the next chapter.
As part of seeking God’s will, we noted that Jesus selected disciples based on heart and
potential. Angela is overflowing with a dedicated heart to serve God, a vigorous enthusiasm to
use her creativity to inspire, and a humility that will allow her to hear God’s guidance. When
choosing a pastor, it was not just what they have done, but what potential they had to offer as
they learn and grow. Angela fit this qualification well; she has much potential to offer whereas
some of the other candidates were likely not going to grow much in knowledge, spiritual
maturity, or new ideas for the church.
The Apostle Paul spoke often about the necessity of unity in the church. We believe Angela will
have a unifying influence on our church family. Let us pray for Chilson’s unity and support
Angela as she leads us forward.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
The Pastoral Search Team (‘PST’) has completed the search process and has made their recommendation to the Executive Ministry Team (‘EMT’) and selected our own Angela Miller for the Senior Pastor role!
The EMT is in the process of preparing an official job offer to present to Angie. Once negotiations are complete, a Special All-Church meeting will be scheduled so the congregation can vote on the approval.
In the meantime, Angie will continue as our Interim Pastor.
We hold enormous gratitude for the members of the PST. We thank them for their diligent work, careful consideration, and dedication to this process and to Chilson Hills Church.
In addition, effective May 2, 2022, Nick Miller resigned as Church Moderator with the Executive Ministry Team. We thank Nick for his commitment, leadership, and passion in serving this team and Chilson Hills for the last 10 years. We are grateful for Yvette Magee who has agreed to step into this role as interim for the remainder of the year.
